Cynthia Cox Roman

Cindy Cox Roman is a market research professional with over twenty-five years of experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research. In 2001, she founded Worldwide Insights & Trends (WIT) Consulting LLC, a research-based consultancy that helps corporations and nonprofit clients understand the attitudes and behaviors of their target audience and other stakeholders. Prior to founding WIT, where she serves as CEO, Cindy was a partner at Yankelovich Partners, the preeminent social trend research firm, and headed up its NY Custom Research Practice. Earlier in her career, she worked at the global ad agency Y&R as a consumer researcher and account manager.

 Cindy served on the Board of Trustees of HelpAge International from 2007-2015 and held the position of Board Chair for the last two years. HelpAge is a global nonprofit organization and network that promotes the wellbeing and inclusion of older women and men and reduces poverty and discrimination in later life.  She and the other Trustees had the ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of HelpAge International and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run and delivering charitable outcomes consistent with its mission. She currently serves as a HelpAge Global Ambassador and in the US, serves on the board of HelpAge USA, an American affiliate.

 Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from the Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Gerontology at the University of Southern California, focusing on the sociology and psychology of life course development and older age in particular. She resides in Washington, DC.
